I am a student who has recently given 12th exams from CBSE board.I am a Commerce student and I want to know the career aspects for me.Kindly guide me about the exams and future in commerce

After 12th commerce your choices would include BCom, specialised BCom courses like BAF (Finance & Accounts),BBI (Banking & Insurance) offered by some universities, or BCom with Cost Accountancy/ Chartered Accountancy/ Company Secretary’s courses would be typical choices. However, you also have the option of doing BBA/BMS/ equivalent, or five year integrated law degree, hotel / hospitality management/ administration degree, taking up Fine Arts/ Design/ allied degree ( if you have artistic aptitude), or Bachelor of Physical Education (if you have sports related interests and achievements), or you could switch to BA or take up a mass media degree course or BCA/ BSc IT, Bachelor Financial & Investment Analysis -BFIA(Delhi University) if you had studied Maths till class 12th( also English for BFIA) and other non-science related courses. Examples given here are indicative of the possibilities, but there may be a few more choices at different universities. You be aware of the possibilities and assess the demands of the choices and decide upon those which are in tune with your abilities and interests. Indicative examples.

Distance Learning

                                                                    Distance Learning

MBA - Masters in Business Administration
Distance learning is the preferred and popular medium of higher education in the present Internet dominated world, where distance is an unheard word. Online Education has become the latest buzzword among students and professionals. It connects the means of learning away from an institute keeping a close touch with instructors of the institute online. Distance learning in the present age means learning at home and on the move by going online at your convenience and pace. It is better defined as learning wherever and whenever.
The distance learning mode doesn’t disrupt job continuity and equips working professionals with a professional degree, heading them towards steady career progress. Add to that, through a distance learning course employers get the benefit of using the existing workforce for expanded job-roles, without having to invest on induction and training.
Distance MBA
Core managerial skills, covering the major areas of management, with equal emphasis on the elective modules of management studies
Practical knowledge of management operations through real-time market scenarios, case studies etc.
Analytical skills, which will help in competent and critical decision-making
Technical and soft skills to take on the increasingly competitive, international business-scape.

Career Interest

                                                                             Career Interest
First step you have to identify the career field that best suits your interests, skills, and then select the post -secondary education or training that will favour you succeed in that career field. Otherwise, it is like putting a car in drive before you have any idea where you want to go. Surely you will end up somewhere, but you may not be happy with the destination.

While you do not need to precisely Determine your Career (e.g. anesthesiologist, manufacturing operations analyst, biotech engineer) in high school, you should dedicate enough time to career exploration/planning to determine the general career field (e.g. business, technical career, engineering, health care) that you wish to pursue. The curriculum for different career fields varies significantly.

once you chosen your career field, you can identify potential "education" providers (e.g. college, technical schools) and assess their ability to meet your other needs (e.g. location, size, cost, academic environment, extracurricular activities, job placement).

Commenly, Students and thier parents view a College degree as an end in itself. They assume that a college degree ensures success and happiness. Despite what some people think, wondering aimlessly through college and changing majors three or four times to randomly test career interests is not a normal, effective nor necessary approach.Rather, this approach wastes time, Money and resources, as well as, producing significant frustration for students (and parents). Imagine how a student feels after spending four years of their life and 4 or 5 lacs + on college to find themself waiting tables upon graduation.

While most attractive careers need post-secondary education, many of these jobs do not require a 4-year college degree. As the low college completion rate suggests, a 4-year degree is not for everyone. If your education has little relevance to your ultimate career, it will have limited value. Education for education's sake is OK, but with college costing 1.5 lac+/yr. and global competition for jobs increasing dramatically, I'd focus first on acquiring marketable skills for a promising career.

The interviewer wants to know and see if the job application really has the knowledge, motivation, skills, and self-confidence which are necessary for the particular job. At this point of view one can be confident that the interviewer saw something interesting in your resume. The interviewer wants to figure out whether you are fit in with the organization's current philosophy and employees. Likewise, you will want to check out the position and the organization, and choose if the organization will fit into your Career Plans. A Resume or curriculum vitae is an advertisement of who you are in terms of your capability, ability, and future skills. It is your main advertising appliance for opening the doors of prospective employers. From the candidate's objectivity, resumes are supposed to help get interviews which, in turn, lead to job offers. From the viewpoint of the employer, resumes are expected to communicate value. Always remember that employers are not looking to hire your history - they want to know your capabilities and abilities.

While preparing a resume, never forget that you are advertising yourself for an interview and not for a job. Offering of job comes only after Successful Interview
There are Three types of Resumes:
Chronological:

This sort of resume is used best generally. With this kind of format, you present the information in reverse chronological order and give a detailed account of education, work experiences, and other relevant skills.

Functional:

This sort of resume contains functional skills categories that focus work experiences and Transferable Skills. A functional resume may also be used if the experience or qualifications do not sustenance your professional purpose. Many of the employers are very careful when reviewing these resumes, as they may be used to hide evident gaps in, or a lack of, work experience.

Combination:

This type of resume includes functional skill categories that highlight work experiences and transferable skills within the reverse chronological listing of work history.
